IMG_5147.JPGFact:  In Chiatura, Georgia, a cablecar network was installed in the 1950s by the Soviet government for the miners working in the valley.  These cablecars were swiftly renamed metal coffins due to the danger they involved for those riding in them.  Some of these cablecars are still in use today.
